James L. Hayes
James Hayes is an alum from the Gamma Chapter at Illinois State University. He holds a master’s degree in educational leadership and a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. He is pursuing his Ed.D in educational leadership from the University of Illinois. He is currently employed by the Springfield Public School System.
James is one of the original trustees of the Sigma Lambda Beta Education Foundation. He is responsible for the Foundation’s programming.
Guillermo Macalpin
Guillermo Macalpin is an alum and founding member of the Lambda Alpha Chapter
at San Jose State University. He holds a master’s degree in Corporate Organization Leadership and a bachelor’s degree
in Sociology. He currently runs his own organizational consulting company.
Guillermo has served in numerous fraternal positions including Lieutenant District Governor of the Southwest District and alumni advisor.
He is responsible for the Foundation’s financial programs.
Mary Peterson
Mary Louise Peterson is an alumna from the University of Iowa. She holds a master’s degree in
Higher Education and a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She is currently the CEO of the
Retail Jewelers Organization and Executive Director of Sigma Lambda Beta Fraternity.
Mary has held virtually every fraternal leadership position including President. She is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Executive Staff.
Ricardo Zamudio
Ricardo Zamudio is an alum from Alpha Chapter at the University of Iowa and is one of the original founders
of Sigma Lambda Beta Fraternity. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a minor in Computer Science. He currently works for State Farm Insurance.
Ric has held various fraternal positions including President, Vice President of Programming and Finance. He was instrumental in establishing the
Sigma Lambda Beta’s Education Foundation in 2002 and served as the Chair until 2009. He is currently serving as a general member on the Board of Trustees.
José Cabrales
José Cabrales is an alum and founding member of the Psi Alpha Chapter at Santa Clara University. He
holds a master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and International Business. He is working
on his PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Iowa State University.
Jose has held numerous fraternal leadership position including Southwest District Governor. He is responsible for the
Foundation’s fund raising programs.
Sam Centellas
Sam Centellas is an alum from the Epsilon Chapter at Western Michigan University. He holds a master’s degree in Education from Grand Valley State University and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Western Michigan. He is currently the Director of Student Life at Indiana University - South Bend.
Sam has held various fraternal leadership positions and is the President of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. He serves as a general member and fraternal liaison on the Board of Trustees.
