Dear Sigma Lambda Beta Educational Foundation Donors,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of the "Sigma Lambda Beta Educational Foundation Scholarship." As this year's recipients, I am grateful for the opportunities this award will provide me. I rely on financial aid, a few jobs, and scholarships to help finance my education. Receiving this scholarship will help reduce my financial burdens and motivate me to continue pursuing my educational development goals.
I am currently a junior at the University of Minnesota majoring in Business. My major is concentrated in three areas - management information systems, marketing, and supply chain management. My goal is to complete my undergraduate education and apply for graduate studies in either strategic management or informational decisional sciences. The graduate studies will be approximately five years in length and will help me attain a PhD so I can teach and research.
Outside of academia, I also participate in a few other activities. I am part of the American Marketing Association at our school and help manage its technology needs. Furthermore, I am vice-president of our Sigma Lambda Beta chapter and also help with community service activities. I also work as the campus marketing manager for Coca-Cola. In addition, I work as a teaching assistant and lab consultant at the business school. In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym and try to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
