2005 Fall Foundation Scholarship Recipient
In 2005 the Board of Trustees decided to change its approach towards the scholarship program. We are now going to present 1 scholarship during the fall semester and 1 scholarship during the spring semester. In addition, this 1 scholarship is for $500 as opposed to the smaller 200 scholarships offered previously.
It is with great pleasure that we announce the winner of the 2005 Sigma Lambda Beta Educational Foundation Fall Scholarship winner - Mohammed G. Aaser from The University of Minnesota (Alpha-Beta Chapter). Brother Aaser exemplifies the finer qualities that we look for in a Sigma Lambda Beta member. In his personal statement he attributes the development of his self-confidence directly to his membership in Sigma Lambda Beta. That quality along with his personal drive has allowed him to accomplish, in part, the following: Brother Aaser has volunteered at a local food shelf, is the Vice-President and community service chair for his chapter, and is the Vice-President of Technology for the University of Minnesota's American Marketing Association. Brother Aaser earned a 3.93 GPA for the semester to coincide with his cumulative GPA of 3.92, was admitted into two different campus honors organizations, and was the recipient of the University of Minnesota Presidential Scholarship.
Congratulations Brother Aaser!! We would also like to recognize all of the brothers who submitted applications. We were very pleased to see the high quality of undergraduate brothers we have in Sigma Lambda Beta.
Please read Brother Aaser's personal Thank You letter.
